Frequently asked questions

What is Dawaa Deal?

Dawaa Deal | دواء ديل is a digital medicine discovery and pharmacy marketplace designed to connect customers with participating pharmacies. Through Dawaa Deal, customers can search for medicines, discover availability and eligible offers, request competitive offers through PharmaRide, explore approved Near-Expiry Deals, and choose a suitable fulfillment option. Our goal is to make finding medicines simpler, smarter and more transparent.

Is Dawaa Deal an online pharmacy?

No. Dawaa Deal is a technology platform and marketplace connecting customers with participating pharmacies. Medicines are supplied and dispensed by the pharmacy fulfilling the order. Dawaa Deal provides the digital infrastructure for discovery, matching, offers, ordering and fulfillment coordination.

How does Dawaa Deal work?

Simply: Search → Discover → Compare → Choose → Fulfill. Search for the medicine you need or create a PharmaRide request. Dawaa Deal helps you discover relevant participating pharmacies and available offers. You can then review the available options and select the one that works for you.

Can I search for a specific medicine?

Yes. Search using the medicine's brand or trade name and browse available matching products listed on Dawaa Deal. Our search experience is designed to make medicine discovery easier in both Arabic and English.

What is PharmaRide?

PharmaRide is one of Dawaa Deal's core features. Instead of searching pharmacy by pharmacy, you can create a request for a medicine or medicine basket. Eligible participating pharmacies can respond with available offers. You can then compare availability, total price, delivery cost, estimated fulfillment time and pharmacy location before selecting an offer. Think of it as: One Request → Multiple Pharmacy Opportunities → Your Choice.

Does the lowest-priced offer always appear first?

Not necessarily. The cheapest medicine price may not always represent the best overall deal. Dawaa Deal can consider factors such as medicine availability, total basket value, delivery cost, distance and estimated fulfillment time when organizing available options. The final choice remains yours.

What is Dawaa Intelligence?

Dawaa Intelligence™ is the intelligent technology layer powering selected features inside Dawaa Deal. It is designed to support capabilities such as smarter medicine search, pharmacy matching, offer organization, demand insights and inventory intelligence. Dawaa Intelligence™ supports the marketplace experience; it is not a replacement for a doctor or pharmacist and does not provide medical diagnosis.

What are Near-Expiry Deals?

Near-Expiry Deals allow participating pharmacies to offer eligible short-dated products through a dedicated section of Dawaa Deal, subject to applicable platform rules and approval requirements. Relevant expiry information and offer details should be clearly displayed so customers can make an informed purchasing decision.

Does “near expiry” mean expired?

No. Near-expiry products are not the same as expired products. Dawaa Deal's Near-Expiry section is intended only for eligible products that remain within their valid expiry period and meet the applicable listing requirements. Expired medicines should not be offered for sale through Dawaa Deal.

Can I negotiate the price of a medicine?

Dawaa Deal's PharmaRide experience allows participating pharmacies to respond to customer requests with eligible offers. This does not mean that regulated medicine pricing can simply be changed without restriction. Offers and promotions must remain subject to applicable regulations and Dawaa Deal's platform rules. The objective is to help customers discover better overall value, not create uncontrolled bidding on medicines.

Can I compare different pharmacy offers?

Yes. That is one of the central ideas behind Dawaa Deal. Where multiple eligible offers are available, you can compare relevant factors such as price, availability, delivery, distance, fulfillment time and overall value. This allows you to choose the option that best fits your needs.

How do I receive my order?

Available fulfillment methods may vary depending on the pharmacy, location and order. Depending on availability, options may include on-demand delivery, scheduled delivery, pharmacy self-delivery or customer pickup. The available options and applicable fees should be displayed before confirming the order.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery fees may vary according to factors such as distance, fulfillment method, location and service type. The applicable delivery charge is displayed during checkout before you confirm your order.

What is the Platform Fee?

A small Platform Fee may apply to eligible orders for using Dawaa Deal's digital marketplace and supporting services. It is separate from the delivery fee and will be clearly displayed during checkout when applicable.

Can I pick up my medicine directly from the pharmacy?

Where supported by the selected pharmacy, Customer Pickup allows you to reserve or order through Dawaa Deal and collect the order directly from the pharmacy. This can also provide an alternative when delivery is unnecessary.

Who determines medicine availability?

Medicine availability is provided by participating pharmacies and may change. Dawaa Deal helps customers discover and connect with available pharmacy inventory, but availability should be confirmed as part of the order or offer process.

Are all medicines available on Dawaa Deal?

Not necessarily. Availability depends on participating pharmacies, inventory and applicable regulatory or platform restrictions. Certain medicines or categories may require additional verification, documentation or special handling, or may not be available through particular Dawaa Deal services.

Can prescription medicines be ordered through Dawaa Deal?

Where permitted, certain medicines may require a valid prescription and/or additional pharmacy verification before the pharmacy can dispense them. Submitting an order or request does not override any prescription, dispensing or regulatory requirements.

Can Dawaa Deal recommend a medicine for my condition?

Dawaa Deal should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. For questions about your health, medicines, dosage, interactions or suitable alternatives, consult a qualified doctor or pharmacist.

Can I find alternatives to a medicine?

Dawaa Deal may provide medicine information and discovery tools that help users explore relevant products. However, a medicine should not be substituted solely based on an app suggestion. Where professional judgment is required, substitution should be confirmed by an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Can I cancel an order?

Cancellation availability depends on the order status and pharmacy fulfillment stage. If cancellation is still permitted, the option should be available through your order details or customer support. Once an order has reached certain preparation or fulfillment stages, cancellation may be restricted.

What happens if an item is unavailable after I order?

If the pharmacy cannot fulfill an item, the order may be updated, cancelled or otherwise resolved according to the available options and your confirmation where required. Dawaa Deal is designed to minimize this situation by improving pharmacy matching and availability visibility.

What payment methods are available?

Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout and may vary depending on the pharmacy, order type and Dawaa Deal's supported payment services. Never make a payment outside the authorized Dawaa Deal process when the transaction is intended to be completed through the platform.

How are refunds handled?

Refund eligibility and processing depend on the payment method, order status, pharmacy fulfillment status and the reason for the refund. Eligible refunds are processed according to Dawaa Deal's applicable refund and payment policies.

How can my pharmacy join Dawaa Deal?

Eligible pharmacies can apply to become a Dawaa Deal Pharmacy Partner. The pharmacy will need to complete the required onboarding and verification process before it can begin receiving eligible requests and orders.

What can pharmacies do through Dawaa Deal?

Participating pharmacies can use the Pharmacy Portal to manage medicine availability, PharmaRide requests, customer offers, orders, eligible promotions, Near-Expiry Deals, performance insights, payments and settlements. The exact features available may depend on the pharmacy's account and Dawaa Deal's rollout stage.

Do pharmacies need to upload their entire inventory?

Not necessarily. Dawaa Deal is designed around a central medicine catalog. Pharmacies can select relevant medicines from the catalog and manage availability, eligible offers and quantities rather than manually creating medicine records from scratch. Bulk inventory and system integrations may also be introduced as the platform develops.

How does Dawaa Deal make money?

Dawaa Deal may generate revenue through agreed commercial arrangements such as pharmacy commissions, platform/service fees, delivery-related contributions, promotional services, sponsored visibility and other marketplace services. Applicable charges are determined according to the relevant customer terms or pharmacy commercial agreement.

How do pharmacy settlements work?

For marketplace orders, Dawaa Deal calculates the pharmacy settlement based on the completed order value and the applicable commercial agreement. For example: Medicine Basket − Agreed Commission − Applicable Contracted Charges ± Adjustments = Pharmacy Settlement. Settlement statements provide pharmacies with an order-level reconciliation of applicable transactions and deductions.

Does Dawaa Deal replace the pharmacy?

No. Dawaa Deal is built to empower pharmacies, not replace them. The pharmacy remains central to medicine supply and dispensing, while Dawaa Deal provides technology for digital discovery, customer acquisition, matching, offers, ordering and marketplace operations.
